6 Pack Abs

Having 6 Pack Abs seems to be the desire of most fitness minded people.



6 pack abs Judging by all of the ab machines on the market, the demand for a six pack is high.

So what's the secret to getting ripped abs?

The answer is twofold:

1. Lower body fat enough to see your abs

2. Strengthen and tone the abdominal muscles

Doing number two without number 1 will not work. You will never see those toned abs under a layer of body fat.

How much fat do you need to lose?

Conventional thinking says that to see your upper abdominal muscles, your body fat ratio should be around 14%.

To see the full 6-8 pack, bf will need to be 10% or lower.

Losing Body Fat Basics


To lose body fat, you must run on a calorie deficit. That is, calories burned must be more than calories consumed.

Strength training and Cardio can be used to burn calories.

Eating 4-6 smaller meals per day, increasing protein, fiber, and water also help.
